Creativity in the Ten Steps so Easy it's Easy

Have you ever wanted to be creative?

Why a penguin? I don’t know! I’m being SO CREATIVE RIGHT NOW.

But do you feel like you don’t have a creative bone in your body? Like arts and stuffs is for those other weirdos?

Well, don’t worry, silly munchkin! I, a creative person, am now going to tell you how to be creative in ten simple steps!

1. Have an Idea

   Okay, I know this sounds dumb, but hey - it’s the starting point. If you don’t have that first idea, you can’t do a creation. But you know what’s great about ideas? They can be vague and half formed! For instance, I decided to do a list about creative things - that was the idea - but that was it! Because number two is:

2. Don’t think about it

   I’m not thinking too hard about it, I’m just doing the gosh darn thing! Isn’t that so loverly? Isn’t that the besterly? I’m coming up with this as I’m going! If I can do it, you can too!

   …um… still trying not to think… I’m typing… I’m not stopping typing… I’ll come up with something if I keep typing… um… something’s coming… just the first thing whatever the first thought is let’s go with that:

3. Making this list was harder than I thought it was going to be

   And hardness is a sign you’re doing creativity good! Did you think creativity was going to be easy? Where’d you get that idea, the title of this article?

4. Did I really say ten? Shit, really?

   Muddlemuffins. I mean - we’re at four and you can’t tell, but I’m starting to hyperventilate a bit. Oh god. Oh geez. Oh what am I doing?

5. Give yourself clear goals

   Yes! That’s why I said ten! Ten sounds like a lot. But ten it is. I’m sticking to it. I’m sticking the fuck to it.

6. Um. Talk with your muse? I dunno

   Inducing psychosis is a fun thing to do. It makes you create good.

7. If you make something and no one cares, did you be creative?

   I just have been working on a lot of stuff and like no one cares about it except for me and like I like to say that art is an end in and of itself but like it still hurts when it feels like nothing gets done or when it does it’s met with all the approval of damp oatmeal
